Experimenting with abstract ideas.

In Lotties lesson today we were asked to simply paint one side of our partners face using the help of shadows and light to create a look. On the other side of the face to distort the face or make it completely abstract. We were told to just go for it to not plan a design to just play with the product and our brushes.

Lottie showed us some abstract paintings to help get an idea of what we are trying to achieve. Explaining that its all about texture and shapes.

Equipment.

• Brushes.
• Aqua Pallete.
• Cleanser/moisturizer.

Firstly using the shadows on the face I begin to paint curves like the concept of contouring. I then went in with another colour to sort of highlight.

On the other side of the face I went in a duo fiber brush which created a really nice effect on the face. I then added lots of colours to create an abstract look.

I found this to be fun and help us to get used to products. To teach us there is no right or wrong with colours. We could also use abstract art to inspire us for our contemparay Sallys
